Hints & Tips for a Something New from something Old Project

Last year, youth groups submitted projects like:

- bird boxes made from reused kitchen cupboards

- litter bins made from recycled election posters

- a compost bin at a local walkway

- funky outfits (fab dresses) from reused and remodelled clothing, feathers, jewelry and lots more

- a titanic model made from washed milk bottles

- a (huge, Hollywood style) sign made out of recycled timber and collected bottle tops

Let your imagination run riot! Could you collect stuff to renovate your groups hall or den? Could you contact local businesses to see what they throw out that you might use? Could you look around you - what about the attic or the shed? Is there something you could turn into something else with a bit of imagination and creativity?
